Regular filter for vector maps

Edpiv pE 2013 help

Dialogue box “Regular filter for vector maps” allows you to set
parameters of regular filter for processing displacement vector maps.
Details are described below.

Filter type

- Median filter: Local median value is used to validate current vector;

- Low-pass filter: Replace current vector with the local mean vector;

- High-pass filter: Subtract the local mean vector from current vector.

Filter mask radius

- Rx : Horizontal radius, i.e. width of the filter mask is 2Rx+1;

- Ry : Vertical radius, i.e. height of the filter mask is 2Ry+1;

- Rt : Temporal radius, i.e. number of related vector maps is 2Rt+1.

Limits for error detection [pixel]

- dx : Limit of horizontal displacement variation;

- dy : Limit of vertical displacement variation;

- dz : Limit of out-off-plane displacement variation.

- Temporal button : Short-cut button for temporal filter, i.e. Rx=0, Ry=0, Rt=”total number of vector maps”;

- Spatial button : Short-cut button for 3X3 filters, i.e. Rx=1, Ry1, Rt=0;

- 3D filter : Short-cut button for 3X3X3 filters, i.e. Rx=1, Ry1, Rt=1.

- OK button : Conduct filter operation and close the dialogue Box;

- Cancel button : Close the dialogue Box without conducting filter operation.
