This dialogue box is used to fill the image in the selected frame (or whole image if the frame not selected) with selected gray value and shape. It is opened when clicking menu “Edit\Painting\Fill in frame” in the “Image processing” window. This filling function is designed for manually creating a phase or boundary mask.

The filling function works in two steps: First, the gray should be typed in the edit box, and then press one of the bitmap buttons indicating the filling shape to activate the filling.

Note that the gray values 0 and 255 cannot be changed with this function. Usually, the linear transformation operation “Normalize” should be previously done, so that the gray value is between 5 and 250, i.e. no pixel in the selected area has a gray value of 0 or 255.
