Data window

Dialogue window “Data” is used to display detailed information of the evaluated vectors and identified particle image data. The buttons and parameters in the window are described as follows. 

Evaluation results

M0 - Current memory;

M1 - Memory 1;

M2 - Memory 2;

Total points - Total number of evaluation points;

Columns - Number of columns of the evaluation grid;

Rows - Number of rows of the evaluation grid;

E points - Number of selected evaluation points (with flag value 1);

Vectors - Number of valid displacement vectors (with flag value 2);

Total No. - Total number of grid points (or particle positions) in the selected memory;

Number - Number of point selected for displaying detailed information in the window;

“<” button - Pressed for decreasing the point number by 1;

“>” button - Pressed for increasing the point number by 1;

x - x-position of the selected point;

y - y-position of the selected point;

Dx - Displacement component in x-direction at the selected point;

Dy - Displacement component in y-direction at the selected point;

Dz - Displacement component in z-direction at the selected point;

Flag - Flag value of the selected point;

W/U button - Press to switch Dx and Dz of the current vector map;

W/V button - Press to switch Dy and Dz of the current vector map;

M0 button - Pressed down for displaying detailed information in current memory;

M1 button - Pressed down for displaying detailed information in memory 1;

M2 button - Pressed down for displaying detailed information in memory 2;

Particle images

R1 - Particle image information for recording 1;

R2 - Particle image information for recording 2;

Total No. - Total number of particle images;

Number - Number of selected particle image;

“<” button - Pressed for decreasing the image number by 1;

“>” button - Pressed for increasing the image number by 1;

x - x-position of the selected particle image;

y - y-position of the selected particle image;

size - Area in pixels in the cross-section of the selected particle image;

“h” button - Pressed to display the probability density distribution, i.e. histogram of the particle image size;

bright - Brightness in the center of the selected particle image;

shape - Roundness of the selected particle image;

angle - orientation angle of the selected particle image;

Rem. button - Pressed to delete the particle image information in the corresponding memory;

Copy button - Pressed to duplicate (one empty memory) or exchange (no empty memory) the particle image information between the two PIV recordings.
